Day on the Square, February 18, 2026, is rapidly approaching.
This year we are encouraging as many institutions as possible to attend and bring students to tell their stories and advocate for substitute Senate Bill 144. Sub SB 144 reverses the P-8 license and restores middle grades. While the bill unanimously passed the Ohio Senate and has been assigned to the Ohio House education committee, the committee has yet to bring the legislation to hearing. Meeting with members of the Ohio House this year during Day on the Square is a great way to educate the Representatives about sub SB 144 and encourage the education committee to bring the bill up for hearing.
